The main news of the day is that Manchester United Football Club have approached Leicester City with a bid for highly rated, and England centre back Harry Maguire. According to reports from both BBC Sport and SkySports Manchester United put in a bid of £70m for the highly sort defender.
However to the relief of Leicester City fans it is believed that the Leicester board have rejected the offer as it comes someway short of their valuation for a player that signed a new 5 year contract a year ago. The bookies still however have Manchester City as favourites to sign Maguire so we probably have not heard the end of this saga and if the BBC are correct in reporting Maguire would like a move to either club to enhance his career Leicester City could now be in a struggle to keep their star defender.
Frustratingly for Leicester fans is the deal to sign Youri Tielemans still hasn’t been secured. Although the Leicester Mercury are reporting that Leicester City are still trying to sign the player fans will be getting frustrated as it seems nothing is moving very fast.
One bit of good news Leicester fans is that although last week The Sun reported that Ricardo Pereira was a major transfer target for Italian side Juventus it seems nothing has occurred there as yet.
