Vardy Hails Tielemans as an Unbelievable Talent

Former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has expressed his excitement for Youri Tielemans' move to Manchester United. Tielemans, who has signed a five-year deal with the club, has already made a significant impact, with Vardy noting that the midfielder will start 'kicking on again' at Old Trafford. Vardy, who played alongside Tielemans at the King Power Stadium for four-and-a-half years, recalled Tielemans' impressive performances for Belgium and his initial signing with Leicester on loan. Vardy said, 'I played against him with Belgium, he was unbelievable and you were like, 'Wow, who is this?' because he was only young at the time.'

A Perfect Fit for the Theatre of Dreams

Tielemans, who helped Aston Villa secure a Europa League title and a top-four finish, has committed his long-term future to Manchester United. The 29-year-old Belgian international has signed a five-year deal that keeps him at the club until 2031. Tielemans has already made an impact during the pre-season campaign, featuring against Paris Saint-Germain, Leeds United, and AC Milan. He is now focused on helping Manchester United return to the summit of European football. Tielemans told the club's official media, 'Inside the team, there’s a lot of quality and I feel like this is a good step for me to push on and hopefully win many, many titles with the club.'

Dedication and Leadership in the Engine Room

Former Leicester captain Wes Morgan, who played alongside Tielemans, highlighted the midfielder's dedication and work ethic. Morgan said, 'What I’ve seen with Youri is dedication to his job. I always used to see him in the gym, working extra hard and doing extra work. He was really working on improving himself. He never took it easy in training, he always gave it 100 per cent, but he’s another one that has that technical capability, that awareness and that speed of thought. I’m not surprised to see him go to the top and be at Manchester United now. Hopefully he’ll show everyone how good he is. He deserves everything that he’s got so far.'

Premier League Debut Looms for Belgian Star

Vardy echoed Morgan's sentiments, recalling how quickly Tielemans settled into life in England. 'He came in and straight away you could tell… the dedication, 100 per cent every day,’ Vardy added. ‘He would then get in the dressing room and he was so down to earth, so normal. He was a real breath of fresh air for us at that time.' With the Premier League season set to kick off this weekend, all eyes will be on whether the Belgian starts in the opener against newly promoted Hull City.
