Leicester City midfielder Harry Winks is in advanced talks for a move to Cagliari. The former Tottenham Hotspur man has been linked with a move away from the Foxes after their relegation.
What happened?
Cagliari are in advanced negotiations with Leicester City for the midfielder, claims Sportitalia transfer pundit Alfredo Pedullà.
Winks has also been linked with a possible move to Wrexham, but could be tempted by sunny Sardinia. His current contract with Leicester City only runs to June 2027.
Why it matters for Leicester City
The potential transfer could be a relatively cheap deal for Cagliari, with Pedullà claiming that Leicester City and Cagliari have already agreed on a transfer fee. Now they are just trying to work out personal terms with the player.
What comes next?
Once the personal terms are finalized, Winks can fly out to Italy for his medical tests and begin pre-season preparations for the Serie A side. Winks made 36 competitive appearances for Leicester City this season, scoring two goals and providing two assists for his teammates.
As of June 29, 2026, Leicester City is currently 23rd in the Championship, with 46 points from 46 games, and a recent form of WDDLL.
