Leicester City's Caleb Okoli is on the verge of leaving the club, with his agent Alessandro Barison confirming the Foxes understand his ambition to play in a more important league.

What's Next for Okoli?

The Italy international was signed by Leicester City in the summer of 2024 for €14m plus add-ons, but has been unable to prevent the club's relegation into League One. With the Foxes currently sitting 23rd in Championship with 46 points, 12W-16D-18L from 46 games, and 49 points behind leaders Coventry, Okoli is looking for a move back to Italy.

Serie A Interest

There has been interest from Serie A sides Torino and newly promoted Monza, with Barison revealing the club is evaluating proposals. Okoli, who celebrates his 25th birthday later this month, is under contract with Leicester City until June 2029 and has been in the senior Italy squad, but is yet to receive his first cap for the Azzurri at that level.

Leicester City's Stance

Barison said: 'We are waiting for Leicester to get back to us, some calls and proposals have already arrived, we've got to figure out the best way forward for him and the club.' Leicester City, who have scored 58 goals and conceded 68 this season, are ready to let Okoli go, whether it is on loan or a permanent sale, as they look to rebuild their squad for the upcoming season.
