Stevenage have signed former Leicester City winger Wanya Marcal following his departure from the King Power Stadium at the end of last season. The 23-year-old joins as a free agent after his contract with Leicester expired, and the length of his new deal with Stevenage has not been disclosed.
Marcal made 10 first-team appearances for Leicester City, having come through the club's academy. He spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan with Dutch side De Graafschap, where he featured in 15 matches. His move to Stevenage provides a fresh start in League One after his time with the Foxes concluded.
Leicester City currently sit 13th in League One, having taken 8 points from their opening six matches. Their recent form shows two wins, a draw, and two defeats, with a dramatic 4-3 victory over Stockport County in their last outing. The squad's attacking options can be viewed on the club's squad page.
Marcal's arrival at Stevenage comes as Leicester prepare for their next league fixture away to Barnsley on 19 September. The full schedule for the coming weeks is available on the fixtures page.
